Sensio

Sensio is a leading Scandinavian welfare technology company with headquarter in Oslo. It contributes to more efficient and safer welfare services for health personnel, users and their next of kin. The company’s business model is largely based on recurring revenue and the self-developed technological platform which is a central part of the customers’ health technology infrastructure.

Demographic changes and challenges to attract labor mean that increased use of technology in the health care sector is prioritized by authorities, commercial players and society in general. In Norway alone, it is estimated that welfare technology can free up to 40,000 positions in the health care sector. This corresponds to approximately half of the expected shortage in healthcare personnel in 20 years’ time.

Norway has been early in developing and adopting welfare technology, and Sensio sees great potential for its technology and solutions abroad.

Longship became the majority shareholder of Sensio in 2018. The founders are still co-owners of the company, together with about half of the employees. This has created a good basis for delivering strong revenue growth. The company is well positioned for further expansion based on its leading position in the Scandinavian countries. In 2024, Nordic Capital entered as the majority owner. Longshipcontinue as minority shareholder.
